Keanu Reeves has been a popular Hollywood actor for more than 20 years.  Early on he had memorable roles as the dim-witted Ted in ‘Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure’ and as the heroic officer Jack Traven on the exhilarating movie ‘Speed’.  Throughout the years Reeves has broadened his choice in movie roles and several of those have included science-fiction thrillers like ‘Constantine’ and the ‘Matrix Trilogy’.  While his acting abilities have always been well known, it is his real-life ability to see spirits in the world around him that may have attracted him to certain movie roles.

For as long as he can remember, Reeves has been aware of spirits around him.  He feels them and in some cases sees them.  His first memorable encounter was when he was just a child living in New Jersey.  He was in his bedroom getting prepared for bed by his nanny when he felt a presence enter the room.  He turned toward the bedroom door and saw a white suit moving into the room.  It was strange because the body inside the suit couldn’t be seen.  It had no arms, no legs, and no head.  The suit slowly moved into the room but then quickly disappeared.  In shock he turned to his nanny who had a shocked look on her face obviously she had seen it too.  Needless to say he had trouble sleeping that night.  And to this day he still has dreams about the spirit that entered his bedroom.

In more recent times Reeves tells of a quick encounter he had with a ghost will eating lunch with a friend.  He was on break in Austin, Texas where he was filming the movie ‘A Scanner Darkly’ when he felt a presence behind him in a quiet restaurant.  He turned quickly and saw an apparition disappear before his eyes.  He turned back to his friend and said “Did you see that?” and she acknowledged “Yeah, I did.”  The two paid their bill quickly and headed out of the restaurant.

Like many other people in the world, Reeves believes he is sensitive to spirits around him.  It’s almost as if they’re attracted to him for some reason.  He is just another example that even people who are famous can have experiences with the paranormal.
