Jimmy Carter was the 39^th President of the United States from 1977 to 1981. Many people will also remember his public admission of a UFO encounter some years before moving to the White House. It was 1969, a few years before President Carter would be elected governor of Georgia, and he was giving a speech to a small crowd at a local Lion’s Club. It was about 7:15 pm when someone in the crowd pointed out a strange light in the sky. President Carter described it as a bright white light that seemed to slowly approach them and stop just beyond the tree line.
