Coventry, R.I. November 13, 2010 After equipment was brought into the basement, we accompanied a staff member upstairs where she would begin to point out certain areas we intended to focus on. Completely without warning or any intention to make contact, we recorded the voice of what seems to be a small child who is aware of our presence in the building on the handheld camera. This was not audible to any of at the time and it happens at 0:08.

While filming an episode of a local television station Halloween special, we set up our cameras as we normally do to allow some insight into what we do and to create the proper atmosphere for their show. When we reviewed this particular camera footage, we found we recorded something quite remarkable - almost completely by accident.
Everyone in the building was on the floor below filming the introduction to the show. This particular camera is always placed here during our public investigations because a significant amount of claims come from this hallway. The chair has never been a source of attention for us, which made this even more startling.
Portsmouth, R.I. June 20, 2009 It appears that a feather attached to the dream catcher moves upward before the object begins turning. It is also important to note that the other object seen hanging from the ceiling (an auger-like plastic ornament) is seen twisting slightly throughout the video. This was because Chris had bumped it with his head upon entering the room 15 minutes prior. Apparently the design of the object causes it to remain in motion for some time after it is manipulated by touch.
This drew our attention when perhaps we would have written it off to something quite explainable for the following: The dream catcher goes in motion before the investigator turns toward it. His breath or any inadvertent contact with can safely be ruled out. Secondly, at the end of the session, when both investigators leave the room, we noted that there was no vacuum created by the closing of the door that set the object in motion. The windows of the room had been closed to filter out any extraneous outside noise.
Cranston, R.I. September 4, 2010 Our efforts seemed to pay off as again Shayna was present with Julie and Marlaina when this voice was captured on recorder. We seem to have gotten what sounds like someone answering a request to sing at 0:21. The voice was caught on the camcorder mic and was heard by those who were present. The women were alone on the floor at this point in time. Oddly, it does not sound like a child at all this time and it is done very much in a sardonic-type of tone.
Notice in this clip that the door seen to the left is in the closed and locked position as the investigators enter the room at the end of the hallway. After a brief session, they notice the door is clearly open and unlocked when they exit the room. This door leads directly up a short flight of stairs to the mansion's cupola. They call Dave Grady at the base to ensure the door had been in the closed position and he concurs. Because we felt we had already easily explained the claims that involved the cupola (see case file #1 from Sprague), no one had bothered to venture up there during the course of the evening as we focused our efforts in other areas with the time allotted to us. The staff had closed and locked this door - as is normal procedure - and we made no request for them to open it at any point in time.

Torrington, CT. January 16, 2011 One compelling experience had to do with a door upstairs toward the box office area slamming shut. We ascertained for certain no one was in that area and the door cannot be shut by anything less than a manual push. In the video, Gail at first misidentifies it as opening. It is in fact, closing.

This was a fascinating piece of video that was captured while our stationary camera ran while we were on a break. The downstairs function hall was the focus of some rather remarkable claims before we had even entered the building for the first time. As we sat in a room set up for our central command, we saw this shadowy figure move past the wall at the top of the stairs and then pass back the other way. It seems to then move down the stairs for a short distance before vanishing right before us.
The wall it passes in front of is solid and illuminated by the IR camera. This is not a doorway. We took great pains to attempt to recreate this effect to totally rule out any person casting a shadow. Even when we placed someone opposite the wall and out of camera shot under the same lighting conditions, this could not be replicated.
