RISEUP Co-Founders Ken and Dave DeCosta recently flew to Los Angeles Jan. 18-20 to complete pre-production interviews for the A&E/Biography Channel's "My Ghost Story". Their segment chronicled many of the events that took place during RISEUP's currently on-going investigation of the Paine House Museum in Coventry, R.I.

Location filming at Paine House was completed the day after their return and the RISEUP team was present and participated in the shoot. The segment was aired on April 21, 2012.

RISEUP Paranormal along with Creepy Places of New England hosted the First Annual Ocean State ParaCon on April14th, 2012 at the St. Ann's Arts & Cultural Center in Woonsocket, R.I.

The event featured 36 groups and individuals with paranormal and metaphysical backgrounds from all over New England and was open to the public. All proceeds benefited three separate charitable endeavors - Foster Parrots, a shelter for abandoned and abused exotic animals; the Litz family who lost their son in a tragic automobile accident and two fellow paranormal investigators from Troy, Ohio with two small children who lost their home and much of their belongings in a fire. The event netted over $1,000 for Foster Parrots and over $400 from a raffle earmarked to benefit the Litz family.

Speakers included EVP specialist Mike Markowicz, Spirit Medium Tiffany Rice, author and historian Christopher Rondina and noted demonologist Carl Johnson. Hundreds came through the doors to meet the various paranormal teams, see some of the tools used in the field and partake in spiritual readings and Reiki treatments.

There was also a paranormal roundtable discussion where our special guests took the stage and fielded questions from a live audience. Watch is the full video of the session below.

Members of The RISEUP Paranormal Group will leave for Philadelphia on July 7, 2012 to conduct a private investigation of one of the most iconic landmarks in the United States - Eastern State Penitentiary.

Many people believe that Eastern State Penitentiary is haunted. As early as the 1940s, officers and inmates reported mysterious visions and eerie experiences in the ancient prison. And the ghost sightings have only increased since Eastern State was abandoned in 1971. With the growing interest in paranormal investigation, Eastern State Penitentiary may now be the most carefully studied building in the United States.

Eastern State has been the subject of episodes on many reality-based paranormal television series, among those; "Ghost Hunters", "Ghost Adventures", "Most Haunted Live", "American Paranormal", "Night Visitors" and "MTV's 'Fear'".
